There is a point whether you can choose a "dark site" or not, but that is about it. It isn't a "Morrowind" style rpg where you can basically do whatever you want. You have one path to take and you pretty much follow it through the game. The single player game is relatively linear.

I do suggest it to anyone that is looking for some fun. See that guard over there enjoying the cliff-side view? Well he can be kicked off the ledge and to his imminent death! Spikes can also impale enemies as well. Environmental dangers can be used to the fullest extend here. The games graphical splendor is amazing! I have a lower end video card and the graphics are maxed out with no slow down at all!!! The game play itself is rather fun I admit. I have not run into any control issues except that running and side stepping in this game feels kind of delayed and strange. It is way better then Two Worlds and Legend Hand of God. The voice acting is just average, not good not bad. Yet I still do enjoy the little perks the skills do offer. The skill tree itself is nowhere near as large or deep as games like Diablo 2, The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion or Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim. The RPG elements come from the small skill tree. It's more First Person Shooter then RPG though. I really have not had a full chance to go through the entire game yet because of a very full schedule, but from what I have played so far, I have enjoyed it. What can be said about Dark Messiah Might and. Not a diamond in the rough, but a precious gem for sure! After a campaign is completed, all experience for each character is set back to zero. Tickets are a type of death card, and every time a player is killed or loses control of a spawn point, a ticket is taken away. The game ends when one stronghold is destroyed, or when a team loses all of its tickets. When one team wins, the battle is moved away from its stronghold, but if the team loses the next conflict, the following battle moves back to the middle. "Crusade" mode creates a tug-of-war battle style by moving the next skirmish closer to the stronghold of the last skirmish's loser. After each round, a "dynamic campaign" feature determines the next map's location, as well as the items and skills you can gain between rounds, by analyzing completion statistics from the previous conflict. Throughout the game, there are opportunities to increase characters' skills as they complete battles. In "Crusade," players choose one of five character classes, such as warrior or mage. The game's multiplayer modes support up to 32 players, and along with the obligatory "Deathmatch" and "Team Deathmatch" modes, the multiplayer arena includes a "Crusade" mode that emphasizes teamwork in multi-match competition. Built on Valve's Half-Life 2 "Source" game engine, Dark Messiah: Might and Magic aims to offer smooth action in a game world rich with detail. Single players take the role of Sareth, to wield both might and magic against orcs, goblins, trolls, dragons, an undead horde, and other minions of the Dark Messiah who threatens the world of Ashan.
